This will be for my Presta valve bike, I already have a regular Schrader valve pump. It all says it will fit on both type valves without changing anything. What I am confused about, Everything Specialized and anyone who reviews or advertises this pump refers to the "Auto Selecting SwitchHitter Technology". removing the rubber fitting opens it wider to take Schrader. The initial valve opening is very narrow (Presta). To switch to Schrader, the cap has to be unscrewed and there is a rubber fitting in the cap that needs to be removed. The guy that assisted me showed me how the "default" setting is for Presta. so it will accept Presta or Schraeder valves with no switching needed. This advertises "Switch Hitter Technology". Went to a bike shop and bought a Specialized Air Tool Sport Floor Pump. I bought a Trek Mountain Bike, the first bike for me that has presta valves. ![]()
